Explorer 5k and 1 Mile Loop

Thank You for Supporting the 3rd Annual Explorer 5K

We are sincerely grateful for your support of the 3rd Annual Explorer 5K. All proceeds from this event are directly reinvested into Hudson’s student-athletes, athletic teams, equipment, and related programs.

The Hudson Athletic Booster Club is dedicated to providing financial support to our teams, coaches, and athletes to further strengthen their athletic and academic success. Last year, we proudly awarded more than $115,000 in grant funding to fulfill coaches’ requests for team needs, including equipment, uniforms, training, and educational resources. In addition, we provided four scholarships for $2,000 each to outstanding student-athletes.

PACKET PICK-UP

Friday, September 12th from 2:00pm to 3:30pm -  **Teachers, staff and students only**

Pickup will be in the Main Office conference room, located behind Mr. Chuppa's office at the High School. 

Friday, September 12th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm -  *** All registrants  ***

Pickup will be located outside the Hudson High School main entrance, off Hudson-Aurora Road. (see map below)

Friday, September 12th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm -  *** All registrants attending the game  ***

Pickup will be inside the Hudson Memorial Stadium during the football game, in front of the Malson Athletic Center.

Saturday, September 13th from 7:00am to 7:45am -  *** All registrants  ***

Pickup will be at the Hudson Memorial Football Stadium home side entrance. 

PARKING

Please see the map below. Participants can enter from Stow Rd and/or Hudson-Aurora Rd. There is a designated parking area in the High School parking lot. Please see the map below. 

**The parking lot by the baseball fields (Sophomore lot) will be closed for the safety of our participants

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

7:00am - Race day registration and packet pickup begin and will close promptly at 7:45am. The registration tent will be located on the home side of the football stadium.

8:00am - National Anthem and send off by Mayor

8:15-8:30 - Explorer 1 mile run/walk begins

9:00am - Kids fun run and dash begins inside the stadium on the track

9:30-10am - Awards & post-run snacks

5k Participants - 

7:30am to 8:45am  - Check in at the registration table for your race day bib located by the football stadium on the home side.

This event is a chip-timed event start to finish if you choose. Non-timed bibs are also an option. Please be sure to display your bib where it is visible on the front of your shirt. Awards will be determined by the chip time and your photo will be tagged by your bib number. 

Runiversity will be managing the timing of our race.

Starting Line-up -

Elite runners (finishing time of 20 min or under) are asked to line up at the front of the start line. For the safety of all the younger runners participating in the 5k, we ask that they are towards the back of the crowd. Walkers and walkers with strollers, we encourage you to line up in the back of all runners.

Award Ceremony - 

The award ceremony will begin promptly after the final runners have entered the stadium and crossed the finish line. The top male and female overall will be awarded a Vertical Runner gift card. The top male and female runners in the following age categories will also be presented with a race day goodie. 

17 & younger, 18 yrs - 24 yrs, 25 yrs - 34 yrs, 35 yrs - 44 yrs, 45 yrs - 54 yrs, 55 yrs and over
