Explorer 5K Recap

It all started when THE STARTER SAID GO…

No… It actually started months before September 24, 2023. Race organizers were consulted, sponsors were secured and, well, racers were registered. 298 racers to be exact! What an incredible turnout on a slightly overcast but beautiful fall day in our amazing hometown of Hudson, Ohio. To say the first ever annual Explorer 5K Race to benefit the Hudson Athletic Booster Club was a rousing success would be an understatement! The 5K racers came ready to set some personal records, Fun Run participants joined their friends and had a nice leisurely walk and everyone returned to the stadium to find more fun activities. Huge turnout from the girls soccer team, boys ice hockey team and girls field hockey team was the icing on the cake. The Hudson community came out en masse to support this great event that ended up raising nearly $11,000! All that will be donated back to support our amazing student athletes and help them pursue their dreams of Suburban League titles, regional wins, district championships and whatever else their hard work lead them to.
